Shop, Dine, and Discover: The Local Businesses We Love in Our Community
One of the things I love most about the Charlotte area is its vibrant network of local businesses. They are the heart and soul of our communities, and supporting them is one of the best ways to keep our neighborhoods thriving. Here are just a few of the businesses I'm excited about right now, from Ballantyne to Waxhaw.
Ballantyne's New Flavor
The new developments in Ballantyne are bringing in some incredible new businesses. While you can find many great national brands, I’m particularly excited about the new shops and restaurants opening in and around The Bowl. The new Parisian-inspired spot, Copain Bakery & Brasserie, is set to bring authentic French charm to the neighborhood. And for a unique, local-first dining experience, you can't beat places like Rooster's Wood-Fired Kitchen, which has already become a popular spot.
South End's Enduring Vibe
In South End, the community of entrepreneurs is always growing. I’m so happy to see the return of Tyber Creek Pub on South Mint Street. It's a true local favorite that has come back to life, serving up delicious Irish fare in a beautifully restored space. This kind of preservation and new life is a testament to the community's spirit.
Union County's Unique Charms
In Waxhaw, the historic downtown is a treasure trove of local shops. I love the feel of the community at the local farmers market and the local businesses like Provisions Waxhaw and The Indigo Pearl. They give the town its unique personality and are the perfect places to find a one-of-a-kind gift.
Around Lake Norman, there are so many local gems. Whether it’s a family-run marina or a new bakery, these businesses are what make the lake towns feel so special.
As a real estate agent, I see firsthand how a strong local business scene attracts homebuyers. People want to live in communities where they can walk to a coffee shop, grab a meal from a local restaurant, and support the entrepreneurs who make their neighborhoods unique. It’s a powerful driver for home value and a wonderful way to build a life.
Next time you’re out and about, take a moment to explore a new local business. You might just find your new favorite place.
As your local Realtor and neighborhood guide, I’m here to make sure your next move isn’t just about finding the right house but finding the right home. Let’s connect and explore the best of Charlotte one neighborhood (and maybe one bite) at a time.
